Caddy Spoon - Naturalistic - York c.1830 by Barber, Cattle &amp; North - 11.4cm long; 31g - BB/8702</p>

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fine quality, cast example of a Naturalistic silver caddy spoon. It has a superbly detailed leafy, flower tendril handle and has a nice feel in the hand.

A further bonus are the York hallmarks, which although lacking a date letter can be accurately dated to between 1825 and 1835 as this was the working period of the three-way partnership between James Barber, George Cattle and William North. This Georgian period spoon is in fine condition with original script initials to the bowl.

A matching example can seen as plate 73e in "Caddy Spoons: An Illustrated Guide" by John Norie - this example also lacks the date letter.
