Antique Silver

Item:  Table Spoon Description: Fiddle pattern Hallmark: Montrose circa 1820 by William Mill Dimensions: 230mm long, 66g weight

Comments:  A beautiful Scottish spoon! The fiddle shaped terminal is elongated in typical Scottish manner, but the extra interest to the form of this spoon is the bevelled edge along the shank and central ridge to reverse side, which gives a particularly elegant appearance. The three marks "Rose" "WM" "Rose" are all clear.

Montrose is a coastal town on the east coast of Scotland approximately half way between Dundee and Aberdeen.
