Item: Table Spoons (pair) Description: Hanoverian extended-drop Hallmark: London 1768 by Thomas Evans Dimensions: 209mm long, 132g weight Comments: A very fine pair of early George III period table spoons. these spoons are in excellent original condition with a good weight and balance and unworn bowls. The hallmarks remain crisp with clear "TE" in script makers marks. N.B. this mark was unascribed by Grimwade as it was entered during the period of the lost assay office registers, but it is most likely the same Thomas Evans who later partnered another specialist spoonmaker- George Smith.
