Item:  Table Spoon Description: Hanoverian shell-back Hallmark: London 1739 by John Swift Dimensions:  203mm long, 58g weight

Comments: A good solid example of an early shell back table spoon. Clear hallmarks and probably by the top maker John Swift (the small workers assay office registers from this period are lost). The reverse terminal bears contemporary betrothal initials.
