Item: Table Spoon Description: Admiralty pattern Hallmark: London
1842 by George Adams Dimensions: 222mm long; 86grams Comments: A
good example of a table spoon in the scarce and highly desirable Admiralty
pattern. Admiralty Pattern was first produced circa 1838 for use by the
Royal Navy (as denoted by the arrow stamp adjacent to the hallmark) and so
this spoon is an early example of the pattern. The fouled anchor motif is
die-stamped to the front terminal. This spoon is in good all round condition
with some minor wear to the crowned anchor.
This spoon is one from a set of four. All four spoons are
available on request.
