Item: 6 x Teaspoons Description: Old English Feather-edge
pattern with shell bowls Hallmark: London circa 1772/3 by Thomas Evans &
George Smith Dimensions: 122mm long; 80 g weight Comments: A
very attractive set of Georgian teaspoons in excellent condition. The
bright-cut feather edging is very crisp, the bowls are excellent and
contemporary to manufacture engraved initials in script can be found to the
terminal. The spoons are appropriately hallmarked for the pre-1781 period
(with a lion passant and a maker's mark - some typical wear) and the working
period of this rare partnership helps to accurately date the set to the
early 1770's.
