Comments: A very rare set from this highly sought after Bateman partnership. These spoons are in excellent condition - they all retain their original thick bowl tips, have neither engravings nor erasures and clear sets of hallmarks. They are as good a set as you are likely to find.

*When Hester Bateman retired in 1790, her two sons took over the running of the family business. The partnership was short-lived due to the untimely death of Jonathan. The marks were only in use between 7^th December 1790 and 2^nd May 1791 and therefore items bearing this rare mark are highly collectable.
