long Comments: A Hanoverian pattern
teaspoon with the famous "I love Liberty" picture back. The bird
escaping the cage motif was inspired by the trials of the political activist
John Wilkes in the late 1760's. The picture and words on this example
are in acceptable condition with all letters legible. The reverse terminal
of the spoon bears an engraved betrothal triangle.
