Item: Wine Label Description: Hock; Rectangle with Vine & Grapes border Hallmark: Birmingham 1838 by IW Dimensions: 63mm wide Comments: A very fine large label with a crisp openwork vine and grapes border. The makers mark is clearly "IW" within an oval, the only candidate for this mark would be John Wood (watch pendant maker), however I would suggest that an unrecorded mark for Joseph Willmore would be more likely.
