Item: Wine Label Description: White Wine; rectangle with pierced border Hallmark: London circa 1780 by Susanna Barker Dimensions: 48mm wide Comments: Susanna Barker could certainly change a standard shape such as a rectangle in to a truly beautiful design - this label is a perfect example of her craft and ingenuity. Excellent condition throughout and struck twice with the maker's initials. See figure 633 in "Wine Labels 1730 - 2003" edited by John Salter for a similar example by the same maker.
