Item: Wine Label Description: Port; Escutcheon Hallmark: Newcastle circa 1760 by John Langlands Dimensions: 55mm wide

Comments: A rare early George III Newcastle made label with distinctive north country "eyelets" at the top of the label. The makers worked from a shop known as the Gold Ring - hence the ring symbol in the maker's mark.  Lovely condition and clear marks.
