Antique Silver Spoons

Item: Wine Label Description: Gin; Crescent Hallmark: London circa 1750 by Sandilands Drinkwater Dimensions: 50mm wide

Comments: A very early and typically large example of a crescent form label. The horns of the crescent almost touch and the rings for the chain are fitted to small projections on both sides of the label. We also have identical "WHITE" and "RUM" labels currently available by the same maker.

See "Wine Labels 1730 -2003" by John Salter figure 473 page141 for similar example.
