Details

In the prevalent form of the mid-18th century, this silver escutcheon-shaped wine label is incised "CLARET" to the front. It is clearly marked to the reverse with the 1739-55 lion passant mark and a Gothic script style "LH" maker's mark in conjoined circles for Lewis Hamon.
