Caddy Spoon - Bright-cut Cuff Handle with Fluted Bowl - Exeter 1813 by William Welch - 7cm long; 10.8g - JF/7925

Exeter Caddy Spoon, 1813

Details

This is an especially attractive example of an Exeter marked silver caddy spoon. This Georgian spoon has a cuff-shaped handle that is attractively bright-cut engraved and an elongated, fluted bowl. It is clearly marked to the reverse side for William Welch, and typically for small spoons of the period it lacks the Exeter town mark. This good-looking spoon is in fine condition with neither damage nor repairs.
