Details

Mugs were a rare product from the Bateman family silversmithing workshop and this is a fine example with a baluster form. It bears a beautifully engraved block cipher to the front, has a gilt interior and a handsome scroll capped S-shaped handle. This mug has a lovely feeling in the hand, in in fine condition and bears a clear set of hallmarks including the much sought after "HB" in script maker's mark for Hester Bateman.
