Irish Scallop Label, 1805

Details

Shell or scallop shaped labels are scarce, but Irish examples are very rare and this is a fine specimen with a nicely modelled shape. The label is marked to the reverse with appropriate part hallmarks for the pre-duty mark period and the clear "HAMY" mark of the maker. The label remains in fine condition and would make a great addition to any collection of wine labels or Irish silver.
