Pap Boat, 1721 William Fleming

Details

Taking the usual boat-shaped form, this is a very early example of a silver pap boat; mostly they date from the later 18th century. This example is marked to the inside base with a clear set of Britannia Standard hallmarks (more pure than Sterling standard) and has a discreet "B" engraved to the underside. This rare Georgian baby feeding vessel is in fine condition throughout.
