4 Side Plates, 1920 by Garrards

These are a sensational set of four silver-gilt side plates or serving platters. They just exude the very highest quality as befits the makers; the prestigious London retailers, Garrards.

These circular plates have an outstanding quality applied leaf & scroll border that gives the pieces a unique appearance, plus they have a very hefty feel in the hand due to the thick gauge of silver used in their manufacture; they richly deserve the accolade of being top drawer. The gilding is beautiful and gives the plates an even greater sense of opulence, furthermore it remains in a fine, unworn condition throughout. 

These plates have officially become "antique" during 2020 having achieved their 100th anniversary. Despite their age, the condition is quite superb.
