Sorry, this item is out of stock.

It can be tricky to find straight sets of George II period silver table spoons and this set of six are a high quality set made by the most important flatware specialist of the 18th Century, Ebenezer Coker. Each of these Georgian spoons has a good hefty weight and is engraved with an original crest to the reverse terminal.

These six table spoons have mostly good hallmarks (all maker's marks are legible, but some date letters are a little worn) and a good, original patina. Their high quality has ensured that they have retained their thick bowl tips. At just under £100 per spoon these represent great value for money and are a very fine set!

Provenance: Spetchley House Sale, Chorleys Jan 31st 2020: The crest belongs to the Berkeley family of Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire and Spetchley House in Worcestershire and date from the time of Augustus Berkeley, 4th Earl of Berkeley.
