Aberdeen Soup Ladle, 1810
Sold
Soup Ladle - Fiddle pattern (Scottish proportions) - Aberdeen circa 1810 by James Erskine - 30cm long; 153g - ES/8376
This is a very good, silver soup ladle made in Aberdeen and with typical Scottish elongated proportions to the fiddle-shaped handle. The spoon has an elegant look which is enhanced by the deep, oval bowl. The front of the handle is engraved with an original "AM" monogram, whilst the reverse side is clearly stamped with the Aberdeen town mark and James Erskine maker's mark.
A fabulous Georgian soup ladle in excellent condition.
