Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fabulous quality silver nutmeg grater in the shape of an acorn. This nutmeg grater is reminiscent of those made by David Field and dates from the same period (mid-18th Century). It is composed of three pieces: a cover with acorn, a steel rasp set in a silver frame and a silver cup at the base to catch the grated spice. A symptom of the high quality of this particular grater is the presence of two screw threads to keep the box together and to remove the necessary component for either grating or retrieving. It just has a lovely feel in the hand.
