Sauce Ladle - Admiralty pattern - London 1855 by George Adams - 18.3cm long; 71g - OJ/4312

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A rare example of a silver sauce ladle in the sought after Admiralty Pattern. This Victorian sauce ladle is in good condition with just slight wear to the fouled anchor motif that is die-stamped to the front terminal. It has clear hallmarks for the premier spoonmakers of the Viictorian period - Chawner & Company under the leadership of George W. Adams.

Admiralty Pattern was first produced circa 1838 for use by the Royal Navy (as denoted by the arrow stamp adjacent to the hallmark).
