Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Picture back spoons by Hester Bateman are relatively rare and this has the further benefit of being a particularly scarce scene. The motif to the back of the bowl depicts a crossed array of agricultural implements, including rake, scythe and pitch fork topped with a hat. The scene is in good, crisp condition and the reverse terminal bears original "MS" engraved initials. The sought after "HB" in script maker's mark is clearly legible and the spoon is in overall fine condition.
