This very heavy Victorian silver table spoon is in the popular Albert pattern and is free from any engravings (nor any erasures). It bears London hallmarks and the the "JLG" maker's mark of John Le Gallais, the Jersey goldsmith & jeweller.
Retailed in the Channel Islands, this fine quality silver spoon has good crisp double-struck decoration and remains in fine condition. With a weight in excess of 100 grams it has a fine feeling of quality in the hand.
