Amontillado Wine Label

This very fine quality silver wine label bears the scarce name of Amontillado and is in the highly desirable scallop shell form. Dating from the Victorian period and made by the major bottle ticket maker of the period, this label is cast and so has a hefty feel and is pierced "Amontillado" to the centre. This form of scallop label is in the Royal Collection. It has a heavy duty belcher chain and is in excellent condition.

Amontillado is a medium dry sherry, darker than fino but lighter than oloroso.
