Caddy Spoon - London 1786 by George Smith - 7cm long; 8g - LM/2936

This is a lovely looking George III period, antique silver tea caddy spoon made by George Smith III who was one of the best silversmiths of the period and was formerly apprenticed to William Chawner in 1765.

The spoon has a flat, wide handle with clever bright-cut engraved design and a deep, pear-shaped bowl. The condition of this antique caddy spoon is excellent with the London hallmarks stamped to the reverse.
