With its stylised heart-shaped bowl and flowing tendril handle, this is a lovely example of an art nouveau silver caddy spoon made by Deakin & Francis.
The reverse side of the handle is rather crudely made and the hallmarks not especially crisp, however the overall affect of this spoon is very pleasing.
Similar caddy spoons by Deakin & Francis can be seen illustrated in "The Caddy Spoon in the 20th Century" on page 4a and 6c.
