These are a fine quality twosome comprising a good sized milk or cream jug and a 2-handled sugar bowl. They were both made by the famous Arts & Crafts silversmith, Charles Horner of Halifax and bear his cherished "CH" maker's mark. This is a small punch more appropriate for his standard range of thimbles, hat pins and jewellery, presumably because he made so few large pieces that he didn't have a bigger punch! These two matching pieces have attractive Art Nouveau rosettes chased to the sides and retain their original planishing (spot hammer) marks from being hand-made. the condition is excellent and the hallmarks include the commemorative George V and Queen Mary Silver Jubilee mark.
