Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Most likely dating from the 1960's, this fine looking tea strainer was designed for Georg Jensen by Sigvard Bernadotte with the associated flatware pattern being eponymously named. The teastrainer has a very modernist look and is in fine condition throughout with clear Jensen workshop marks for the post war period.

Sigvard Bernadotte was a Swedish designer that descended from royal blood. He was born Prince of Sweden and Duke of Uppland, but having made an unequal match was disqualified from the line of suiccession. From 1994 to 2002, he was the oldest living great-grandchild of Queen Victoria! See Wikipedia for more information on this fascinating man.
