Caddy Spoon - Bright-cut engraved - London circa 1780 by Thomas Tookey - 6.1cm long; 7g - FS/9933

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Caddy spoons are generally considered to date from about 1770 and few are found before the date letter was added to London examples in 1781. This example is typically marked for pre-1781 caddy spoons with the lion passant and "TT" in script makers mark for Thomas Tookey. In addition to being an early example it is also an attractive spoon with a mitre-shaped bright-cut engraved handle and fluted bowl. It is in excellent condition throughout.
