Butter Spade - Cast with female bust - London 1817 by Samuel Whitford - 163mm long; 62g - Ref. No.: NC/1716

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very rare example of a cast Georgian silver spade that could be used for scooping ice cream or spreading butter or jam/jelly. The handle of this very heavy piece is formed as a female bust with a serpent entwined stem. There is a discreet engraved crest to the reverse side. This is a fabulous quality piece that is in fine condition.
