Bowl & Cover - Enamelled cover with butterfly finial - Sheffield 1937 by Sydney Wilkinson - 145mm diameter; 100mm high; 400 g weight - Ref. No.: JO/8444

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A fantastic silver      Arts & Crafts bowl and cover by an eminent Sheffield based      silversmith. The bowl has a very hefty weight and stands on an openwork,      spreading cast foot. The most striking feature of the bowl is the circle      of pastel enamels around the top of the cover - the pink, blue and greens      representing the delicate colours of the fritillary silver butterfly that      adorns the centre. Excellent condition throughout.

Sydney Wilkinson was a prominent member of the Sheffield      Artscrafts Guild. Further information provided by The Silver Society can      be found at this link:- http://www.thesilversociety.org/SSJ%2023Conroy.pdf
