Georgian silver table bells are a very rare phenomenon and this is a particularly fine example with the bonus of having been made by the famous Bateman family workshop.
The bell is cast and consequently has a nice heavy feeling of quality. It retains its original clapper, which bears a lion passant mark, and gives a lovely sounding "clang"! This table bell is in superb condition with a clear set of hallmarks - a very fine piece!
