A fabulous Victorian vesta case made the renown makers Sampson Mordan & Co.. The enamelled scene shows a stagecoach being pulled through the countryside by four horses. The condition is excellent through with no damage to the enamel and the sprung cover works beautifully to reveal a gilt interior. The striker is to located to the opposite end to the lid and there is an engraved presentation inscription to the reverse side.
