Dozen Hester Bateman Table Spoons, 1782

This is a quite remarkable set of 12 matching Georgian silver table spoons made by the much admired Hester Bateman. Rarely do sets survive intact, but this set stands apart because of the fabulous condition too! Just look at the thick bowl tips, plus all the hallmarks remains crisp and legible. Each spoon bears an original engraved crest featuring a cockatrice to the front terminal. An outstanding set!
