Cream Jug - Inverted Cone with Hinged Cover - London 1902 by Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr - 10cm high; 11.5cm wide; 162g - VH/2846

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a very early piece of silver emanating from the famous St. Dunstan's studio run by Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr.

This splendid quality Edwardian period silver cream jug has an inverted conical body with a punched band of alternating boteh and beads towards the top rim and a further bead band around the spreading foot. Unusually, this silver jug has a hinged cover which is slightly domed and fitted with a rounded thumbpiece. The piece has an all-over planished (spot-hammered) appearance in the tradition of the Arts & Crafts movement.

With its hefty weight, this stunning cream jug oozes high quality and is in fine antique condition with clear Ramsden & Carr hallmarks.
