Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A very fine quality pair of Edwardian period serving tongs. These tongs could be described as either asparagus tongs (the lip to the end of one arm being diagnostic) or chop servers (solid corrugated arms). In reality these tongs are multi functional and have a wide variety of uses. Their fine quality is given added support by the presence of a discreet engraved stag crest to the outside of the bow along with the motto "Sapiens .Dominabitur Astris" (translates to "A wise man can rule the stars"). The full set of hallmarks are spread between both arms. A great pair of serving tongs in lovely original condition.
