Empire Exhibition Scotland 1938 was held at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow from May to December 1938. Following on from the one held at Wembley in 1924/25, it was the second international exhibition held in 20th century Britain and intended to showcase and promote Scottish and Empire trade and developments.

This rare silver caddy spoon was made to commemorate the event and features as its terminal the show's centrepiece building, the Festival Tower. The spoon was made by the Glasgow retailers, Edward & Sons and remains in excellent condition.
