Large Georg Jensen Centrepiece Bowl

This is an outstanding quality, oval, sterling silver bowl made by Georg Jensen with a full set of post-1945 workshop marks to the underside. It is contained and presented in its original mahogany box. Originally designed in 1919 by Georg Jensen, this fabulous bowl stands on an oval, pedestal foot adorned with a trailing vine tendril with bunches of grapes and further bunches hanging from the top rim. The deep, bath-shaped interior is delicately spot hammered and the weight of this large piece gives it a very satisfying feel.

The condition remains first class and this centrepiece bowl would add a stylish statement to any dining table or sideboard.
