Georg Jensen Ice Tongs

These are a very rare pair of sterling silver ice tongs made by Georg Jensen. They are sprung at the pivot and so return to the open position. The bowls are in the form of claws to grip the ice cubes, whilst the finger grips are decorated in the popular Acanthus pattern (also known as "Dronning").

They are a good large size that distinguishes them from the smaller sugar tongs and are an ideal piece of top quality cocktail bar ware for dispensing ice cubes. They are in superb condition with a full set of Jensen workshop and post-1945 Sterling marks.
