Mote Spoon - Leaf Backed, Crosslet Pierced - London circa 1760 by William Plummer - 13cm long; 6g - TF/7428

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Made by the versatile Georgian silversmith William Plummer, this good-looking antique silver mote spoon has an attractively pierced bowl and typical pointed terminal to the handle. A rare feature to the reverse of the bowl that sets this spoon apart from others is the raised leaf motif - this is a rare fancy back emblem. The spoon is clearly stamped with the appropriate lion passant and maker's mark and it remains in fine condition.
