Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A most handsome early George III period silver tea caddy in fabulous original condition. The decoration on this caddy is of the highest quality. The caddy is bombe shape and stands on a paw foot in each corner. The edges are decorated with an engraved acanthus tendrils, the band of acanthus scrolls around the base are flat-chased and the flowers to the shoulder are chased in high relief - what a fantastic combination of techniques and so tastefully executed. The pull-off cover is topped by a finial of a squirrel. This is a truly beautiful piece of silver.
