Pap Boat - Thread mount - London 1803 by John Emes - 13.4cm long; 7.5cm wide; 67g - OE/8081
This is a very good example of a Georgian silver pap boat and made by one of the most important silversmiths of the period - John Emes (master of the future great silversmith Edward Barnard). This infant feeding vessel is of typical boat-shaped form and has a reeded mount around the top rim. It bears the script engraved monogram of the original owner and has a clear set of hallmarks. It is in fine condition throughout.
