Outstanding quality! This Georgian silver salver just oozes class and is of the very highest calibre.

Made during the reign of King George IV, this 10+" diameter salver or waiter tray has a tremendously heavy weight for its size and the quality of the workmanship is exceptional. Fittingly, the centre of the salver is engraved with a large coat of arms, complete with drapery and a stag' head crest. The detail within the armorial is stunning and you can only imagine the craftman's chagrin when asked to engrave nine birds and six fish!

This superb salver has a gadroon and shell border and stands on four beautifully modelled paw feet. The hallmarks to the reverse are clearly stamped and the overall condition is excellent.
