Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Silver spice sifter spoons are scarce variations and smaller cousins of the more common sugar sifter spoons and were used to sprinkle nutmeg, cinnamon etc over hot chocolate, punch and toddies.

The small bowl of this Old English pattern spice sifter has drilled holes and is gilt to give it an extra feeling of quality. Unusually it was made by Joseph Willmore in Birmingham which is a silversmithing centre not renown for it flatware. The spoon is in fine antique condition.
