This is a very handsome Georgian silver basting spoon (also known as a stuffing or gravy spoon) made by the famous Hester Bateman.
The front terminal of this 11" long spoon is engraved with original script initials. The spoon is in fine condition with a good set of hallmarks and a lovely patina. It has a nice weight and a pleasing feel in the hand.
