Irish Bright-cut Star Basting Spoon, 1786

The short-lived silversmithing partnership of Law & Bayly is rarely encountered and this beautiful silver basting spoon bears a clear example of the L&B maker's mark. This 12" long spoon has very crisp bright-cut engraved decoration with the star motif to terminal so often seen on Irish silver flatware. This fabulous spoon has a clear set of hallmarks and is in superb condition throughout.
