Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This Irish silver Madeira wine label was made by John Teare of Dublin around the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century and is clearly hallmarked to the reverse side with the crowned harp, Hibernia and IT maker's mark (n.b. small Irish pieces of this period did not bear a date letter).

The label takes a rectangular form with the unusual addition of a shield surmount for engraving a crest or monogram, however this example has not be so embellished. The condition is excellent throughout.
