Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Dating from the start of the short reign of King James II, this fine quality silver trefid spoon was made by one of the best specialist spoonmakers of the late 17th century - Lawrence Coles.

The spoon is engraved to the reverse terminal with "L" over "HT" betrothal triangle, where "L" is the initial letter of the happy couple's surname. This trefid spoon is in excellent condition with a good unworn bowl, a strong ribbed rattail and a particularly fine set of hallmarks. A great example at a competitive price!
