Sorry, this item is out of stock.

A      very rare jockey cap caddy spoon by Joseph Willmore. The vast majority of      jockey cap spoon were made by Joseph Taylor and Samuel Pemberton in the      last few years of the 18th century. This spoon is a very rare example by      Joseph Willmore (a prolific maker of other caddy spoons) and was made      during the reign of King William IV. The spoon has typical engraved      decoration around the hat and across the peak. It is in fine condition      with a good set of hallmarks.

PROVENANCE: This spoon was part of the John Norie      collection and is described and illustrated in his book "Caddy      Spoons: An Illustrated Guide" as plate 95g and discussed on page 87.
